The Management of Ghana Airways has ordered the immediate dismissal of four officials of the National airline, for stealing aviation fuel.
A management statement issued in Accra stated that the dismissals were done after consultations with the Board of Directors of the Airline.
The statement said, Ghana Airways loses an estimated 250 thousand dollars annually through the theft of aviation fuel, a practice management is determined to end. Owing to the seriousness of the offense, the four officials, Messers Nathaniel Annang, Daniel Tansola, Stephen Gbande and Joseph Soku have been handed over to the Police for prosecution.
