The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has vowed to hold accountable those allegedly responsible for demolishing a North Labone property and seizing it from the Lomotey/Adotey family.
He has accused certain politicians, in coordination with the Lands Commission and the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly, of conspiring to unlawfully take over the family’s property, a property they had legally acquired from the State Housing Company.
In a post on his X page on Thursday, November 7, 2024, he shared documents that he claims confirm an error on the part of the Lands Commission, which leased the land in question to Dream Citrix Limited.
Among these documents is a letter from the Lands Commission dated September 5, 2024, signed by Regional Lands Officer Timothy Anyidoho, which acknowledges an error in leasing the land to Dream Citrix Limited.
"Instructively, amongst the multiple intercepted documents attached to this publication is a letter from the Lands Commission dated September 5, 2024, signed by Regional Lands Officer, Timothy Anyidoho confirming that the Lands Commission concedes to making an egregious error in leasing the land in issue to the politically connected Dream Citrix Limited.
"Nobody really believes the Lands Commission merely made an error. This belated admission may never have been made by the Lands Commission if there wasn’t considerable public outrage", he narrated.
Ablakwa disclosed that other families in the Labone, Cantonments, and Airport enclaves are facing similar challenges, with five families sharing their ordeals with him, what the termed 'political robberies'.
He reaffirmed his commitment to counteract these alleged abuses, stating, “Ghana cannot be reduced to a lawless wild jungle because of the unbridled greed of a few State Capture lootocrats. But change is coming, and Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) shall fix this mess and hold all plunderers accountable.”
