The New Patriotic Party (NPP), under President Nana Akufo-Addo has managed to make Ghana a ‘shambolic’ nation within two years of being in government, Minority Spokesperson on Communications, A.B.A. Fuseini has stated.

Following the chaotic incidence that occurred during the Ayawaso West Wuogon polls by-election, a displeased A.B.A. Fuseini averred that Ghana, known as the hub for democracy in Africa, has now become a laughing stock on the global front.

He was irritated about how badly the NPP has ruined the peaceful and orderly country that was handed over to them in 2017.

“Today Ghana is a laughing stock in the annals of the international committee. In the eyes of the international committee, the Ghana that they saw when we handed over, elections were conducted and power was handed over to an opposition party. Very admirable and the whole international committee sang the praises of Ghana.”

Justifying why government is incompetent in handling the affairs of the nation, the MP for Sagnarigu Constituency explained; “This is the first election under President Nana Akufo-Addo look at shambolic this election has gone. It is a huge commentary about their incompetent handling of affairs of the nation. And so if they can see a mere by-election where guns are bulling all over the place. A candidate, for the first time in our history- a candidate of a major could not come out of his house let alone to go and patronize an election.”

The NDC, seeking justice for their colleague MP, matched to the Police Headquarters today to demand the arrest of the perpetrators after the Majority seemed unperturbed by the issue.

After covering a distance of about 2.23 km, the Minority members said they hope that David Asante Apeatu will have answers to the questions they have been asking since last Thursday.

The MPs arrived at the Police Headquarters where Mr George was asked to write a statement on the assault in the absence of the IGP and his deputies.

The leadership of the Minority have, however, been invited into a meeting with the Director of Operations.
