Ghana is falling apart under Akufo-Addo – Odike cries

The founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Mr Akwasi Addai Odike has said in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com that Ghana is falling apart and not what he anticipated under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Mr. Odike said Ghanaians – including members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been plunged into an unending hardship since the party took over political power.

In an interview with Citizen Kofi Owusu on Ahotor FM Odike observed with pain that “Things are falling apart in Ghana now,” attributing the development to bad leadership which has given birth to massive corruption.

“My brother nothing is working in this country, things are falling apart seriously, Ghana is in an unending hardship, and this is because of Bad leadership”, he lamented.

The 2016 presidential candidate of United Progressive Party (UPP) therefore, suggested “we should strip off some of the powers of the President to end the impunity that goes on in the country currently”. His concerns come at a time former National Security Advisor in the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah believes things are not on the right track.

“Ghana is not developing…Ghana is retrogressing and collapsing”, the Senior Citizen has observed despite positions of current appointees the Akufo-Adddo government has brought relief to Ghanaians since it assumed the reigns of power 2017.

Brigadier-General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah flayed the government for under-performing indicating that the current government appointees are selfish and only interested in amassing the limited resources to enriching themselves at the expense of many poor Ghanaians.

“Go to Kokomeleme and Makola markets, people are not getting places of convenience and bathrooms to ease themselves”, he observed when he spoke on a local radio station in Kumasi monitored by MyNewsGh.com
