Former CEO of UT Holdings and founder of the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation, Captain Prince Kofi Amoabeng (RTD) has voiced out his concerns about the current state of leadership in Ghana.

According to him, the country urgently needs a new breed of leaders—ones who are resilient and visionary to steer the nation towards prosperity.

As reported by citinewsroom.com, Captain Amoabeng, who was speaking at a stakeholder event celebrating his life and work in Accra on June 15, 2024, criticised the current leadership's shortcomings, specifically the ‘rampant corruption’ and the increasing number of Ghanaians leaving the country for better opportunities abroad.

These issues, he argued, demand immediate and decisive action from leaders with integrity, respect and honesty.

Captain Amoabeng called for leaders who possess the right mindset, and deep respect for all individuals.

He said that leaders who are committed to combating corruption, repairing systemic failures, and bridging the economic divide that favors a few at the expense of many, including the country's industries and its youth are necessary.

Citing the leadership models of countries like China, Singapore, and Rwanda, Captain Amoabeng urged Ghana to embrace similar principles.

Captain Amoabeng further expressed his belief in the emergence of leaders who can redefine Ghana's future and set the country on a path of sustained growth and development.
