The top three positions at the Electoral Commission (EC) remain vacant following President Akufo-Addo’s decision to wield the axe.

Last Thursday, Charlotte Osei was removed from her post as Chairperson of the EC following a recommendation by the Chief Justice.

She was sacked together with her two deputies, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amankwah.

The three were fired over alleged cases of incompetence, diversion of funds among other untoward acts.

As it stands, all top three EC positions are vacant, with President Akufo-Addo now set to appoint persons who take up the mantle.

However, have you wondered which government or president appointed all the various EC officials since the Fourth Republic began?
