...Of Dead Ghanaian Woman In London Blast

Although reports are rife in Ghana to the effect that one Ghanaian is dead in the bomb blast that rocked London last week, Ghana?s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK), His Excellency Isaac Osei, has discounted claims that the lady in question is dead.

In an interview, High Commissioner Isaac Osei stated that he can only confirm that the lady is missing and not dead.

According to H.E. Isaac Osei, the High Commission in London is in touch with the husband of the missing woman in question, and is working assiduously to locate the whereabouts of the woman.

The missing woman has been identified as Mrs Gladys Wundowa, 51, of Chadwell Heath in London.

Gladys, who hails from Tsito in the Volta Region, worked as a cleaner at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University College London (UCL).

Mrs Wundowa, finished her early morning shift at 09:00 GMT on Thursday, July 7, 2005, before heading for a college course at Shoreditch, East London and that was when she was last seen.
