Contestants of TV3 Ghana’s Most Beautiful reality show last Sunday took turns on stage at the TV3 Studio B to educate viewers on popular proverbs from their various regions.

Among contestants were Adwoa from the Eastern region, Upper East’s Asumah, Akua representing the Ashanti, Efua from the Central region and Greater Accra representative Akwele.

The rest were Napaa from the Northern region, Enam from Volta region, Yele from Upper West, Abena from the Brong Ahafo region and Afiba representing the Western region. Their presentation was a script by Emeritus J.H. Nketia. All the ladies were intelligent, outstanding and highly talented and each with a goal to become the next Ghana’s Most Beautiful.

Having performed to the judges, Linda Ampah, a fashion designer and the CEO of Cadling Fashions, and Tobgui, a traditional chief, as well as studio audience, there was no doubt that the contestants had really researched on their various regions. Their presentation soothed the ears of the judges.

“You have all done a great job,” said the judges. Viewers of the show will have 13 weeks of thrills and excitements including 10 weeks of eviction. They can also text their favourite contestant’s name to short code 1788 on all networks, to secure a win in the competition.

Ghana’s Most Beautiful reality show remains one of TV3’s unique programmes that always keep viewers glued to their TV sets. It was initiated by TV3 in 2007 as a beauty pageant with a unique cultural attachment. It is an entertainment programme which is both informative and educative. The concept was derived in a bid to project values of the Ghanaian culture and the important role women play in the traditional setting, as well as Ghana’s development.

Over the past few years, the reality show managed to produce queens who had taken on different projects relating to Ghana’s development agenda. Sunday’s show ended well with an amazing dance from the Ghana Dance Company. The hosts of the show are Kweku Temeng and Akua Boahemaa Boate.
