Accra, June 16, GNA - Ghana's betterment must begin first with Ghanaians changing their individual "world" view, Mr Issah Adams, President of Support Life International, an organisation that promotes complementary natural health therapy in Ghana and abroad has said.
"Ghanaians can't change Ghana for the better if they don't first learn to change their own world. The change begins with you and you will change the world by loving yourself, by enjoying life and by making your personal world a dream of heaven," he said.
Endorsing the "Five Agreements" by don Miguel Ruiz et al, Mr Adams told the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday that the easiest way for Ghanaians to be part of making Ghana a better place to lead Africa's development was through the practice of the agreements.
The Five Agreements are: "be impeccable with your word", "don't take everything personally", "don't make assumptions", "always do your best", and "be skeptical, but learn to listen".
Mr Adams described the agreements as tools to change ones world if practice as a way of life. "This is what Ghana needs. There won't be any more war in your head. There won't be any more war with your loved ones. There will be total peace."
He said if Ghanaians would be mindful of what messages they deliver by asking themselves whether they deliver the truth or lies, a lot could be achieved to transform Ghana. "When the message you deliver comes from truth, you're happier, everyone benefits because your joy and happiness are contagious," Mr Adams noted.
He said as a people in one country called Ghana, we are meant to love one another. "Let's stop believing that our differences by way of ethnicity or geographical location make us superior or inferior to one another. It's just a lie".
Mr Adams, a stanched proponent of natural holistic healing in Ghana and abroad, said Ghanaians could return to the truth, and be crusaders of truth in order to change peoples' thinking free from lies and superstitions. He said people must speak with integrity and say what they mean and that they won't be victims of needless suffering when they are immune to the opinions and actions of others.
Ghanaians, he added, must always aim at doing their best in whatever capacity or position they found themselves in, so as to avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
Support Life International is currently working in collaboration with world renowned experts in complementary natural healing, to establish a centre in Ghana as well as to promote community development through the practice of holistic healing. 16 June 10
