Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta has said that the President Akufo-Addo administration has improved the economy significantly since the took over government in 2017.
He said “really, if we all look at where we were in 2017 and where we are now, I don’t have to trumpet clearly there’s a change because we are focusing on micro stability stabilization.
Speaking on News File on Joy FM with Sampson Ladi Ayenini, Mr. Ofori Atta was of the view that the "President had achieved Micro Stability and elimination of taxes vis-a-vis the introduction of the Free SHS, with Planting for Food and Jobs has given the Ghanaian people hope and transformed the lives of many."
“This is not a government that is unaware of the needs of the people to secure the future for transformation. Our attention is on human capital because it’s very important to create a society of social inclusiveness which means that people must get educated and have a sense of social mobility,” the Finance Minister said.
“So when I sit there and looking at choices that one has to make and someone said you don’t have money to facilitate free SHS, I say I don’t have a choice, the President wants every Ghanaian citizen to be given a platform on which to step on,” he added.
