Ghana’s independence was premature - Pastor

Founder and leader of Heaven Investment Chapel located at Sunyani in Brong Ahafo Region, Snr Servant Prosper Joemens Rohrmiller has revealed the cause of severe hardships in the country.

According to him, the genesis of Ghana’s problem is as a result of what he described as the “premature independence” Dr. Kwame Nkrumah got for the country.

He explained, Ghanaians were not capable of managing their own affairs at the time Nkrumah made that declaration.

“The problem Ghana is facing now was due to the fact that her independence was premature. Kwame Nkrumah was ready but the Nation was not ready! The black man wasn’t capable of managing his own affairs then as he believed. We got our independence before most of the African Countries got theirs but nothing to show in our seniority in acquiring independence before others. Those who got theirs at the right time are doing quite well and far ahead of us. It was him that was capable of managing his own affairs due to his advanced knowledge and not the entire nation. He mistakenly took his advanced mind as the minds of Ghanaians hence our predicament. Our problem as a nation is #management. The cocoa, the timber, the diamond, the oil and all the natural resources including human resources are not managed well. This is the reason for our poor roads, poor educational systems, poor health facilities, etc. Self-government within the shortest possible time” of UGCC of Paa Grant & co was a great slogan ” (shortest possible time, had a lot within it)……”The self-government now” of the CPP of Nkrumah was suicidal”. he explained.
