The reduction is driven by a slowdown in the prices of certain food items
Ghana's inflation rate for March 2025 has decreased to 22.4% from the 23.1% recorded in February 2025.
According to data released by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) in Accra on April 2, 2025, the reduction is driven by a slowdown in the prices of certain food items, including vegetables and root tubers.
In February, the year-on-year inflation rate based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 23.1%.
This February 2025 inflation rate represents the percentage change in the CPI over the twelve months from February 2024 to February 2025.
In recent months, inflation has primarily been driven by soaring food prices, which have recorded a higher inflation rate than the national average.
