“If you are talking about security in Ghana, the only verifiable information you will seek after is statistics and clearly the statistics available supports that Ghana’s security is strong. The statistics show that we are doing well. It is our wish to totally prevent crime but of course that is not possible but our ability to prevent it is what essentially matters and we are doing exactly that.” he assured

Hon. Kan Dapaah assured that the Akufo-Addo led government is committed to ensuring the safety and stability of the country as Security is one of the government’s top priority.

“Ghanaians should be rest assured, our security is strong and we are safe.” He said.

Ghana recorded high-profile murders between December 2018 and January 2019 including Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority in charge of Tema Port, a Ghana Water company official and Tiger Eye PI’s lead investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

Members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the violence that characterized the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, described the country as unsafe with calls by former President John Dramani Mahama on government and security agencies in the country to work judiciously in bringing to book the assailants to book.

According to him, the Police CID, BNI and other investigative agencies, should be up on their feet in resolving these incidents of assassinations in the country which have become a concern for Ghanaians.
