GhanaWeb, the only web portal in Ghana informing, educating and entertaining millions of Ghanaians worldwide has launched its new WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) and Smartphone versions with an improved User Interface for mobile.
The mobile versions are technically and strategically developed to meet the dynamic technological times and also to make easily accessible the information and features GhanaWeb has to offer.
The new WAP version and Smartphone version is an improvement of the already existent classic version which was designed for feature phones.
Henceforth, when connected to GhanaWeb via mobile, the handset will automatically select the most suitable version to connect to for optimum usage, easier navigation and unrivalled web experience.
This feat follows the launch of GhanaWeb Radio App for Android phones some months ago with over 200 Ghanaian radio stations streaming live.
Features: Classic Version
This is the already existent mobile version with a lot more texts than pictures and two slots for advertisements to serve the needs of advertisers.
It has a very simple User Interface for old feature phones and loads faster.
Features: WAP Version
The WAP version has a better User Interface than the usual Classic version for easier browsing and navigation.
It has a better look as well with pictures complementing articles on a beautiful layout. The interface gives an easy to read experience and gives an easy access to comment sections and opinions for easy contribution.
Ad spaces too are featured on this version with no effect on the articles published.
Features: Smartphone Version
This version has the experience of the full Web version with sections displayed differently from the others but more elaborate and intertwined with images giving it a beautiful interface.
It has the ability to display Ads to the benefit of businesses without interference with articles. Pages have been modified for easy navigation to others which makes easy switch from one article to another and gives a friendlier reading experience.
It is easier to jump from one section of the Smartphone version to another with a specialized navigation button at the top of the pages which directs you to either sports, entertainment, news, business or opinions with a view of the others a click away.
Comments have been made livelier with easy monitoring capabilities. Videos and Music on GhanaWeb can be played directly on the Smartphone version like on the Web version.
Also, article headlines come with pictures which is slightly different from the Web version for better screen optimization behind a beautiful interface.
All you need to access these mobile versions is a mobile phone with internet access to enjoy GhanaWeb’s 24-hour news updates, general information and online services.
