In consideration of the festivities planned in Switzerland, a launch has been scheduled at:

Ghana: A Portrait is a pictorial summary of Ghana, resulting from many months travelling around every part of the country. From Elubo to Aflao, and Lawra to Bawku, no region goes unvisited. The journey begins on the coast, with the modernity of the capital, Accra, the fishing villages and beach resorts, forest reserves and the historical monuments of the Slave Trade. Passing through the gold mines of Ashanti and forested mountains of the Volta, it ends in the dry north with thirteenth century mud and stick mosques and the ecological marvels of Mole National Park.
Including festivals, landscapes, wildlife, people, architecture, and detailed textures, this book is literally a portrait of the nation; an artists view of Ghana around its Golden Jubilee.
His Excellency, Kwabena Baah-Duodu, said “Our aspirations as a people, on this 50th anniversary are captured within the pages of this album: the past influences our present and a combination of both present and past guides our future as we enter this threshold of our new beginning - keeping the Black Star shining and in the words of the theme for the 50th Anniversary Celebration – “Championing African Excellence”
Renowned for his painterly eye, Max Milligan has limited edition photographic prints in private and corporate art collections worldwide. A proponent of ‘straight’ photography, he avoids the use of filters, flash and any kind of subsequent manipulation of the image. All of the pictures in this book were shot on film using manual cameras. View a selection of the photographs at http://www.maxmilligan.com/booklaunch.htm. Max Milligan's previous books have sold out in various editions.
