Accra, July 24, GNA - The United Nations Operation in C=F4te d'Ivoire (UNOCI) has announced the death of Commander (Dr) Isaac Archer, a Ghanaian military doctor deployed within the Mission. A press release from the UN Information Office in Accra on Thursday said Commander Archer died on Monday, July 21, at Sikensi, about 50 kilometres north-west of Abidjan, after a motor traffic accident.

Accra, July 24, GNA - The United Nations Operation in C=F4te d'Ivoire (UNOCI) has announced the death of Commander (Dr) Isaac Archer, a Ghanaian military doctor deployed within the Mission. A press release from the UN Information Office in Accra on Thursday said Commander Archer died on Monday, July 21, at Sikensi, about 50 kilometres north-west of Abidjan, after a motor traffic accident. The release said Commander Archer, 35, arrived in Cote d'Ivoire on 22 June 2008 and worked at UNOCI's Ghanaian Hospital in Bouake, 350 kilometres north of Abidjan. He was married. Commander Archer is the 29th military member of UNOCI to die since the Mission's deployment in April 2004. 'UNOCI extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved family and the Government and people of Ghana,' the release said. 24 July, 08
