The recovered BMW X3 is to sent back to France
Ghana's security agencies have received commendation from a French Interpol official for their crucial role in recovering a stolen vehicle in a significant display of international cooperation.
The vehicle, a BMW X3, was shipped to Ghana before being located and returned.
This information was shared in an X post by Sikaofficial on August 6, 2025.
"I am here with the BMW that was recovered in Ghana, and I have personally taken the car back to France. In a few more months, I will unlock the car," the French Interpol official stated.
This successful operation, a collaborative effort between Ghanaian authorities and Interpol, underscores the effectiveness of international partnerships in combating transnational crime.
He also expressed gratitude to Madam Naomi, a corporate lawyer, saying, "I just want to say a special thanks to you. I believe our collaboration is unique; we have significant capacity in-house, and we are working to resolve issues."
The vehicle has now been returned to its rightful owner in France.
Ghana is proving to be no haven for stolen goods, as international law enforcement agencies work together to bring perpetrators to justice.
