Ghanaian delegation attends conference on entrepreneurship

A two-member delegation from Net Impact Ghana is participating in this year’s Net Impact Conference, which opened on Thursday in Minneapolis, Minnesota – United States of America (USA).

It is led by Miss Nana Takyiwa Dadzie, Vice President of Net Impact Ghana Chapter and Programme Director for Net Impact Young Enterprise Programme.

This was contained in a statement issued by Net Impact Ghana, signed by its Acting Chair, Communications and Marketing, Mr Robert Klah, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Thursday.

The statement said the conference, which would end on Saturday, was being attended by more than 2,000 young professionals, graduates and undergraduates to discuss topical issues pertaining to entrepreneurship, sustainable development, international development and education.

It has as its theme: “Breaking Boundaries.”

The statement explained that: “The conference is the largest gathering of young professionals in the USA and is organized by Net Impact Central, which is the umbrella organization for over 50,000 young professionals, graduates and undergraduates in over 60 cities and 100 leading business schools across the globe.”

“Net Impact is a community of more than 50,000 students and professional leaders creating positive social and environmental change in the workplace and the world.”

The statement named some of the key speakers as Mr Paul Polma, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Unilever, who would speak on Transformational Leadership, Mr Joel Makower, Chairman and Executive Editor, GreenBiz Group Inc, and Mr Dan Palloter, Founder and President, Advertising for Humanity & The Charity Defense Council.
