Appreciation sits at the center of kindness; the kind the world needs, and that is exactly how Francis Apraku, a custodian at James Madison High School, in the United States of America, felt only a few days ago.

Unable to hold his tears or properly articulate himself in speaking, the Ghanaian man based in the US had a tough time shaking off the disbelief after some students he had grown very close to, pulled a pleasant, unbelievable surprise on him.

They got him his dream car as a birthday gift! And how they went about it makes the story an even more beautiful one.

As reported by fox5dc.com, Francis Apraku was overwhelmed with emotions when the students bought him his dream car – a Jeep Wrangler; the one with the tyre at the back, as he would describe it.

And it was from a casual conversation with the students one day when he told them after they asked him the question, which one was his favourite car.

"I will give thanks to Almighty God for making today for me. Today is a great day for me and I didn’t believe this would happen in my life," Apraku said, beaming with gratitude, as he spoke to a reporter who was present during the handing over of the car to him.

The report added that the birthday surprise was the culmination of months of fundraising led by a group of students who remembered Apraku mentioning that his dream car was a Jeep Wrangler.

From the narration, when the students thought of his birthday and what they could do for him, one of them remembered what his dream car was and they decided to source funds online to surprise him.

What they set out to do over exceeded their expectations.

"We just kind of decided we were going to try to get him his Jeep Wrangler with the GoFundMe, and we never really thought that it would come this far," Logan said. "When we got $5,000 in the first day, we were like, all right, this is real," one of them said.

The fundraising campaign eventually raised over $20,000.

Overtaken with emotions, Francis said, “This day, September 9, I will never, ever forget.”
