Tanzanian giants Young Africans are closing in on a move for Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei , who will undergo a medical Monday in the ongoing January transfer window.
According to Salim Masoud Said, African football writer for BBC, ESPN and Telegraph, Kotei is already in Dar Es Salaam to finalize his move back from Naturena following successful negotiations with the club.
The 26-year-old is expected to pen a long-term deal with Young Africans as he part ways with South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
The midfielder is not new to the Tanzanian league, having previously paid for Simba FC before joining the ABSA Premier League leaders in 2019.
He played an important role in helping Simba clinch their second successive Tanzanian Premier League title in 2019.
The former Liberty Professionals ace also helped Wekundu wa Msimbazi reach the quarter-finals of the Caf Champions League during the 2018/19 season.
The experienced midfielder has featured for Oman Professional League club Al-Oruba SC during the 2015/16 campaign.
