In an outstanding display of mathematical prowess, Ghana’s two representatives at the Copernicus Global Math Olympiad have brought glory to their institution and the country by clinching top honors.
The two brilliant students, Qi Wang of Ghana International School, Accra, and Nhyiraba Aidoo Baah Haizel of M/A CRIG JHS, New Tafo, exhibited profound aptitude to excel at the prestigious Math Olympiad.
The event, which was held at Columbia University in New York, USA, saw talented young minds from across the world pitting their skills against one another.
Under the guidance of their respective teachers, Qi Wang, and Nhyiraba Aidoo Baah Haizel, both shining stars in the realm of mathematics emerged triumphant with the former securing a gold medal and the latter proudly taking home the bronze medal.
The Copernicus Global Math Olympiad with its rigorous selection process and challenging problems attracts the most astute young mathematicians from around the world.
This year’s event, being the 4th edition took place from July 9-13 and witnessed an unprecedented level of competition making the achievement of Qi Wang and Nhyiraba Aidoo Haizel all the more remarkable.
The meticulous approach of the two prodigies and their ability to think outside the box and analyze complex problems was instrumental in securing the gold and bronze medals.
