Italian-born Ghanaian youngster Patrick Amoako Nuamah made an immediate impact off the bench, scoring Brescia Calcio's only goal in their 3-1 defeat to Monza in the Coppa Italia on Thursday evening at U-Power Stadium.

The 18-year-old, who came on at halftime to replace Giacomo Olzer, netted in the 68th minute with a well-taken left-footed strike from the center of the box, assisted by Ante Juric. Despite his goal cutting the deficit, Brescia was unable to stage a full comeback.

Monza dominated the first half, with Georgios Kyriakopoulos opening the scoring in the 5th minute and Matteo Pessina adding a second just six minutes later.

Gianluca Caprari further extended Monza's lead from the penalty spot in the 40th minute, giving the home side a comfortable 3-0 advantage.

Monza's English-born Ghanaian player, Omari Forson, also featured in the match, playing a role in his team's dominance, as Monza controlled possession and created the majority of chances.

Brescia, now eliminated from the Coppa Italia, will focus on their upcoming Serie B clash against Cremonese on September 30th, aiming to bounce back from this disappointing result.
