Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale South Constituency, Haruna Iddrisu has observed that Ghanaians are increasingly losing faith in the Akufo-Addo led administration over its failure to fulfill many of the promises it made prior to the 2016 polls.

He said the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration is engaging in politics of deception comparing and contrasting what was promised and what has been delivered three years in office.

“Ghanaians are increasingly and justifiably losing faith in the Akufo-Addo-led NPP government because he has not been able to honour many of his promises and pledges to the people, and therefore, there is loss of faith in the government, this is not what he promised the people”. He said while filing his nomination forms to contest in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary.

According to him, the NPP must end its politics of deception and make do its promises made to Ghanaians.

We are demanding an end to the NPP’s politics of deception” we are demanding an end to the NPP’s politics of deception” calling for value for money regarding the disbursement of the one million dollars per constituency funds.

Haruna Iddrisu will not face any competition in the forthcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency primary as it emerged he is the only person to have picked his form in the Tamale South Constituency.

At the close of nominations for parliamentary candidates, the Tamale South lawmaker was the only person who picked the forms to contest again in the 2020 general elections on the ticket of the NDC.

This will be the fourth time the Former Communication Minister is contesting the seat unopposed as records show same occurrence in 2004, 2008, 2012 and now 2020.
