CEO of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1, had his residence besieged Wednesday morning by aggrieved customers who will stop at nothing till they retrieved monies promised them by the gold firm owner.
Hundreds of customers who were bused poured out their frustrations at NAM1 who they say continues to scam and take them for granted.
The customers forced their way into the Trasacco Valley Estate of NAM1 to demand their locked up investments.
The customers were initially prevented from entering the premises but managed to overpower the security personnel manning the gate.
Having heard some gun-shots from his residence upon arrival, the customers got more aggressive, some even pelting stones in the direction of the gunshots.
Police personnel arrived at the scene shortly after to calm nerves and control the situation, leading to the arrest of some over 60 customers.
Addressing the media, the police said the customers were arrested because they made an unlawful entry into a private residence and embarked on unlawful demonstration because they didn't seek permission from the police.
Some Ghanaians have since been reacting to the protests and subsequent arrests by the police.

Some of the Menzgold customers are just greedy. You were warned several times not to “invest” in it. You did. Most of them had accumulated “interest” thats more than the amount invested. The wiser ones took the interests and the greedier ones chose to rollover. Now you’re crying

You can’t take the law into your own hands. When the government wanted to follow the due process, these same customers said NAM 1 is ready to pay them so the government should release him. #Menzgold. https://t.co/UpYyOUkmZ1
