Ghanaians told to invest for self-improvement

Tema, May 25, GNA- Dr Frederick Kweku Addai, of the Ghana Medical School, Korle Bu in Accra, has advised Ghanaian workers to make investments in order to improve their living conditions.

Addressing the Tema Chapter of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) alumni at its fifth alumni lectures last night at Tema, he said though times are hard, with careful planning and management, workers would succeed if they invest.

Speaking on the topic "preparation towards pension with investment perspective", Dr Addai, who is also a businessman called on workers to do away with fears of failure and have courage to risk towards their pension.

He took members through how to become successful investors and advised against making use of profit gained at the initial stages of investment but rather reinvest until the business succeed.

Dr Addai said in preparation towards retirement, there was the need to apply talents judiciously, to generate wealth during pension time. Dr Paul K. Awuah, an alumni and former Managing Director of Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) who chaired the function advised workers to branch into agriculture to supplement their income.
