Togbega Gabusu VI, Paramount Chief of Gbi Traditional Area, has called for a national attitudinal change anchored on hard work for swift transformation of the economy.

He appealed to the political, traditional and religious leadership to come out with policy frameworks that could promote attitudinal change for the progress of the nation.

Togbega Gabusu told the GNA in an interview that Ghanaians were competent and hardworking and what was missing was transformational leadership.

He said culture and tradition constituted crucial pillars for national development and any development aspirations that ignored these would spell doom for the nation.

Togbega Gabusu extended best wishes to President John Dramani Mahama and the entire citizenry for the 58th independence anniversary, urging all to redouble their collective efforts towards nation building for the attainment of economic independence.

He said the distrust being expressed by some of the citizenry was destructive and must give way to hopefulness in order to raise enthusiasm among the people, foster national unity and integration.
