The Deputy Regional Minister for Ashanti, Mrs Joana Appiah Dwomoh, has called on Ghanaians to maintain peace in their quest for development.
Speaking at an Easter convention and fund-raising ceremony at Hwidiem in the Asante Akyim district of the region, the Minister said any wrong step taken by any section of society to stir up trouble in any part of the country can cost the whole nation in both human and financial losses.
In a welcoming address, Nana Anarfi Kokorto, chief of Hwediem, appealed to the govt to ensure that the present policy whereby district assemblies concentrate their development efforts in the urban areas is discouraged.
