Fri, 12 May 1995 Source: --

Ghanaians have been called upon to exercise their democratic rights by periodically presenting their views on national policies to Parliament for deliberations. Making the call at a forum of workers of the Volta Lake Transport Company at Akosombo last week, Mr Chris Hesse Chairman of the National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE) said Ghanaians should take advantage of the Parliamentary Standing and Select Committee to present their views on matters so as to assist Parliament to take decisions and make good laws that will stand the test o time. He explained that failure to present views particularly on sensitive national policies to Parliament will mean shirking one's civic responsibility.
