Cape Coast, Dec. 25, GNA - The diocesan Bishop of the Cape Coast Anglican Cathedral, Right Reverend Daniel Sylvanus Allotey, on Christmas day, admonished Ghanaians to use the occasion to pursue peace at all times, because the birth of Jesus Christ signifies peace. He said Jesus gave his life freely to mankind and therefore His followers must exhibit the same trait and love all people indiscriminately. Bishop Allotey was delivering the sermon at the Christ Anglican Cathedral in Cape Coast, on Saturday.
He urged all, to solely depend on and seek God in all things, to enabl= e them to succeed in life and also co-exist with their neighbours harmoniously.
At the Wesley Methodist Church, the Superintendent Minister, Very Reverend Ebenezer Abaka-Wilson noted that the purpose of the birth of Chris= t was to save mankind, adding that, his Kingdom is forever. He said Jesus Christ would deliver the lost soul out of darkness into light. At the James Varik AME Zion Church, the Presiding Elder; Rev.
Wilberforce Wireko, who delivered a sermon on the theme, 93Arise and Shine= ", entreated Ghanaians to be totally committed to all their endeavours, and urged Christians to be 93unreservedly faithful to Christ". He said Christmas is a time of reconciliation and so Christians should celebrate the true significance of the season and avoid social vices. Rev. Dr. Anakwa of the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church emphasized the need for love, peace and sacrifice among Ghanaians, adding that, the birth of Christ is a clear example of God's unwavering love for mankind and admonished Christians to emulate the love and sacrifice Christ showed to mankind. 25 Dec. 10
