An eleven-year-old Class Six pupil, Doris Asante, on Monday, 11 February 2019 escaped a kidnapping attempt at Ashaiman – Lebanon.
Class91.3FM’s Ibrahim Obeng Mensah who reported the incident on Accra 100.5FM said Doris was dragged into a strange vehicle with tainted glasses while returning from a public toilet in the early hours of Monday.
According to Ibrahim, based on the narration from the girl, the people who kidnapped her received a call from an anonymous person that she should be released because they had grabbed another girl for their purpose.
She was then dropped at a location along the Tema-Accra stretch of the motorway.
The little girl’s sister, Dorcas, also told Ibrahim that the girl mentioned her mother’s telephone contact to a Good Samaritan she met on the motorway after she had been released by the kidnappers.
Dorcas said she was informed of the incident by her mother and quickly moved to the location to pick her sister.
