Givers Scientific Herbal Clinic has won four awards at the Maiden Ghana National Herbal Awards held in Kumasi.
The awards are Best Man Capsules, Best Capsule of the year, Best Koo Capsule and Best Herbal Packaged Capsules.
The event seeks to promote made in Ghana products and expose the products to Ghanaians across the country and globally through different mediums.
It is also an effort to market the goods and strengthen the economy, encourage the production of unique products and efficient service delivery.
Dr Kwabi Solomon, Chief Executive Officer, Givers Scientific Herbal Clinic, in an interview with Ghana News Agency, commended the organisers of the event for the recognition given them.
He expressed the hope that it would propel them to develop more quality products to address various ailments in the society.
He said it was hard work coupled with teamwork that has brought the clinic thus far, adding that it was their objective to contribute meaningfully to the health improvement status of their clients.
Other award winners are Taabea Mixture, Kenoga Company Limited, Gifas Mixture, G.P.C Mixture, Pains Dank Natural Health Care Complex, Suzzy Herbal Centre, Adonko Bitters, Bie Gya Bitters and Joy Industries.
The rest are Adutwumwaa Herbal, Fine Fine Herbal Soap, Antec Herbal Center, Dependable Herbal Home and Solak biochemist Limited.
There were honorary awards for Power Herbal Specialists – Best herbal clinic, Dr Edu Herbal Center – Best stroke hospital, Gaftram – Main pillar of the herbal fraternity.
The Department of herbal medicine, KNUST was honored as first institution to run a degree programme in Herbal Medicine.
