Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an International Evangelist, on Sunday called on the striking medical doctors and other personnel in the health sector, to call off their industrial action, which is leading to needless loss of lives.

“The striking medical personnel should not allow their emotions to override their responsibilities since they have a case in seeking better working conditions of service.

“They should however have a place in their heart to show patriotism since the longer they stay away from work the more vital human resources the country losses while they undermine public sympathy for their course.”

Dr Tetteh also the Founder and President of the UK-based Worldwide Miracle Outreach, made the call in Accra, during the ordination of Mrs Daisy Naa Adjeley Egyri, an Occupational Therapist as a Reverend Minister at the Christ Servant Ministry at Teshie in Accra

He said as an Evangelist and Economist he is wise enough to know that only few people could be in the medical profession to work on the human anatomy and safe lives.

Dr Tetteh said also admonished politicians to be circumspective in what they throw out there about the strike, adding that instead of inflaming passions they should rather seek a point of convergence to tackle the problem.

“As a nation we need a massive united front to solve the crisis and not to seek advantage to score political points.”

He asked Ghanaians to pray without ceasing to overcome the nation’s problems, adding that “a prayer less nation is a powerless nation”.

Dr Tetteh said the success of Ghana calls for intensive prayers.

Rev Mrs Egyiri, Daughter of Mr Ebenezer Nii Annan Patapaa, Former Director of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation said she would use her new position to help her community and encourage many women to get involved into the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ.
