Bolgatanga, July 15, GNA - Mr John Kwame Koduah, one of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential aspirants, said he would rule the country through God's guidance when he won the flag-bearership race and became the President.
The aspirant, also a Pastor, made the statement during a media encounter in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region after his five day political campaign tour of the region.
Mr Kodua said God had endowed him with vision and wisdom on how to rule the country to make it more comfortable for Ghanaians.
Quoting scriptures from the Bible, he stressed that he would seek wisdom from God which would be used to counsel and guide his ministers in the performance of their duties to bring about prosperity to the nation.
Likening himself to Joseph in the Bible who prophesied that there would be abundant food for seven years and famine for seven years, he said he knew the bag and good times and would therefore re-adjust to meet any difficulty.
Using the scriptures to appeal for votes from the delegates, he said he was the right person and a man of God who could deliver the goods.
He said one of the major problems drawing the country back was discipline in relation to time and honesty and that he would work hard to reverse the trend.
He said he would turn the vast lands in the three northern regions into settlement farms to produce more food for local consumption and export.
On the issue of his age, the 67 year old man and a legal practitioner said he was very strong and energetic and could lead the country.
"Moses and Caleb in the Bible were 80 years and above but God used them to perform duties," he said.
