‘Good Samaritan’ butchered at Tutuka

A 49-year-old man resident of Tutuka in the Ahafo Region, Azure Sule Ayadako has been murdered in cold blood after he had gone to intervene in a quarrel between a man and his wife.

The unfortunate incident which occurred today[Thursday] has left the residents in a state of shock wondering why the ‘good Samaritan’ should lose his life in such manner.

A local Journalist, Chibsah who visited the community narrated to Kasapa News that the suspect, Sule, who’s currently on the run has for some time now been fond of fighting with his wife, which has become a source of worry to many of the neighbours.

He said the suspect this morning once again picked a quarrel with his wife but his immediate neighbours decided not to separate them.

However, the deceased who felt worried about the harm the suspect could cause to his wife then intervened in the fight and impressed upon the suspect to calm down.

The suspect is said to have obliged and then told the deceased that he’d drunk poison to end his life because he was being frustrated by his wife, hence asked the deceased to give him palm oil to drink so he could vomit the poison.

But while the deceased led the suspect to his house to fetch him the palm oil, the suspect who was following closely unknowing to the deceased had reached for a machete and then suddenly hacked the deceased on the neck leaving him with a deep cut killing him instantly.

The suspect then dashed for the bush and has been in hiding.

The Kenyasi Police have since gone for the body and conveyed it to the St. Elizabeth Hospital morgue at Hwidiem for preservation.

The Police and youth of the town have mounted a search for the suspect.
