Agona Swedru (C/R), Sept 4, GNA - The Right Reverend Dr Sam Prempeh, former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has expressed concern about occultism and the use of narcotic drugs in institutions.
He described the practices as 93negative acts that are much worrying to the society=94 and called on the authorities to 93unlock the mystery=94 to promote peaceful atmosphere on the various campuses. Dr Prempeh said this at the four-day National Youth Delegate Conference of the Presbyterian Church at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
He condemned Ghanaians and those who trafficked in narcotic drugs and called on the government and security agencies to find a lasting solution to the country being used as an entry and transit points for their activities.
Dr Prempeh asked the youth to put their God given talents and potentials to good use for the benefit of the nation and noted that most of the conflicts in the society were caused by the youth under the influence of narcotic drugs.
He charged Church leaders and others to intensify their crusade against the use of narcotic drugs among the youth to enable them to grow into responsible adults. Nana Kobina Botwe II, Swedruhene, called on the youth to stop copying foreign culture, which was impeding the progress of the nation. 04 Sept 06
