Goosie Tanoh will deliver victory for NDC - Ashanti Region NDC

The NDC in the Ashanti Region have endorsed the candidature of presidential nominee aspirant of the party, Goosie Tanoh stating that Mr. Tanoh will deliver victory for the party in the 2020 elections if delegates elect him as a flag bearer.

According to the Ashanti regional organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Isham Alhassan, Mr. Goosie Tanoh is the most experienced person among all the seven flagbearer aspirants including former president John Mahama and that delegates ought to give Mr. Tanoh a chance to lead the party into the 2020 general elections.

Speaking during a meeting with #teamGoosie in Kumasi, Mr. Isham Alhassan eulogized Goosie Tanoh’s contribution to the formation of the NDC as a party describing him as a solid candidate for the party.

“I am convinced that if delegates elect you (Goosie Tanoh) as flagbearer, you will not disappoint the party”

“As for me as a regional organizer I have no doubt that, you can do the work. I believe you will do a good job”

“Among all the aspirants, you are the most experienced person", he stated.

There are some who just joined the party after its formation but as for you Goosie Tanoh you are one of the founding fathers of the party”, Isham Alhassan said the words above in the presence of Mr. Goosie Tanoh and his organizing for Ghana campaign team.

Goosie Tanoh is presently in the Ashanti Region for a 7-day campaign tour with the hope to build grass-roots support in a bid to win the January 26th presidential primaries election of the party which will be held in all 275 constituencies across the country on the same day.

On Friday, Mr. Tanoh held a meeting with nearly 1,000 delegates of the party in Kumasi from Oforikrom, Asokwa, Subin, Bantama and Suame constituencies at the Centre for National Culture.

Most of the voters present at the meeting endorsed Mr. Tanoh to lead the NDC.

A delegate from Suame constituency said “Goosie Tanoh is number one champion, whether you like it or not, he will win the contest”.

The NDC Ashanti Regional Secretary, Kwame Zu on his party promised that the leadership of the party in the region will provide a level playing field for all presidential aspirants to campaign in the region.

He pledged his readiness to support and assist #teamGoosie to have a violence free campaign in the Ashanti region.

“I am convinced that per what I have seen so far if there will ever be any chaos (election violence), it will not come from the camp of Goosie Tanoh campaign” Kwame Zu indicated.

Goosie Tanoh has been campaigning for grass-roots empowerment, grass-roots participation in decision making plus job creation since he launched his campaign September last year.

While speaking to delegates in Kumasi, Mr. Tanoh reiterated the need for delegates of the party to elect a candidate like himself who has the ability to organize and connect with the grass-roots of the party for Victory in the 2020 Ghana’s presidential election.
