Gory crash kills 5 in Sege

Five passengers traveling on a taxi cab have been killed in an accident at Amiyawkorpe off the Sege-Battor road in the Dangme East District of the Greater Accra Region in the early hours of Tuesday, 12 December 2017.

The taxi with registration number GT 8050 – V was transporting market women from the coastal village of Akplabanya to Battor-Aveyime when a tipper truck also with registration number GS 9364 – 12, heading for Sege crashed into the taxi and ran over it.

The occupants of the taxi, including the driver, died on the spot.

The Ada East police retrieved the trapped bodies from the mangled taxi.

The bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to the Ada District hospital morgue while the tipper truck driver is currently in the custody of the Sege police.
