Deputy Communications Minister Felix Kwakye has said appointees of the Mahama-led administration will no longer tolerate, what he described as, insults and mockery from members of policy think tank, IMANI Ghana.
According to him, members of IMANI have consistently poured insults on government officials under the guise of offering policy alternatives.
Speaking on Radio Gold’s ‘Alhaji and Alhaji’ Saturday, Kwakye Ofosu said the administration will begin to confront members of IMANI, who he, accused of being loyalists of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, in equal measure.
“The NDC can take on the NPP in any debate and emerge in victorious on any day.
“But when you are a known fanatic of the NPP and refuse to open the front and attack the NDC with the view to convincing the public that the positions of the NPP are correct because people who are not their members are saying so; you will certainly have a difficulty.
“Especially when you do it with the insufferable arrogance that the likes of Franklin Cudjoe and the rest of them in #OccupyGhana and IMANI are doing,” he warned.
He added: “When you denigrate public officials, you deride them , you use abusive language on them, you do not expect that we will give you hugs, throw a perfume on you and give you a bouquet of flowers”.
