Government says it will soon handover the controversial state bungalow purchased by New Patriotic Party (NPP) chair Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey to him.
This follows an order by a High Court that the keys of bungalow No. 2 Mango Street at the Ridge Residential area, be handed over to Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey.
Two Ministers, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah and Edward Omane-Boamah, challenged Mr. Obetsebi-Lamptey’s acquisition of the bungalow at the Supreme Court seeking to restrain the Lands Commission from registering the property in Jake's name. However, the Supreme Court by a majority decision dismissed the case.
Meanwhile, months after the court decision, he is yet to be given the property.
The High Court, therefore, ordered government to release the keys to the house which is currently being occupied by Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Nii Lante Vanderpuije.
Housing Minister Collins Dauda disclosed on Asempa FM's Ekossi Sen programme that, his outfit is collaborating with the Attorney General’s Department to hand over the house to Jake.
