The Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr has asked the ruling government to make Ghanaians know the work it is doing as far as the 'one district one factory' project is concerned.
Speaking as a panelist on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' programme, Wednesday, Kweku Baako said the ruling government is doing well in terms of putting up the factories and that so far about 79 projects are at different levels of completion.
The only problem according to him, is their poor way of communicating their success to Ghanaians.
"They are doing a lot but communication relating to that flagship project is relatively weak. They need to take a critical look at that . . . where there are challenges, make it known; I don't think there is any government out there that is perfect; whether in Ghana or outside Ghana, no government is infallible," he said.
"If you give a timeline to do something and you are not able to deliver, you don't feel shy to admit that yes I missed the timeline; but these are the things I have done and how far I have come . . . so that they know you are delivering or intends to deliver . . . so far almost 79 are at various stages of completion and so they need to communicate well. Let people get the message," he urged.
According to him, "there will definitely be a school of thought that will remain skeptical that it's okay . . . but the truth is that if you do a good packaging, gradually, it aggregates more support."
