The Running mate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has accused the Mahama-led administration of stealing monies from state coffers.
According to him, though Ghana is rich, it has been rendered poor due to the mismanagement of the nation’s resources.
Dr Bawumia who is currently on a campaign tour of the Central Region lamented the harsh economic condition that Ghanaians have been plunged into by the incompetent NDC government.
“If you take a look at our economic situation, you’ll realize that our economic situation has worsened, but that is not because Ghana is not blessed with resources, we are rich as a country. I worked at the Bank of Ghana and so I know that Ghana is a rich, it is because the managers of the economy are stealing state funds that is why we should all vote them out of power, so that nobody sits in Accra and steals money and send it to Burkina or Dubai.
He added: “When Akufo Addo says the water problem in Gomoa Nyanyano will be solved, he means it. When we put out this idea of 1$million to every constituency, the NDC has since not been able to challenge our claim because they know very clearly that there is enough money here in the country.
