According to the Director of Counter-terrorism at the National Security Ministry, COP (rtd) George Asiamah, the approach had adopted best practices on terrorism fight around the world.

Speaking at a two-day workshop on West Africa National Security and Armoured Vehicles, COP (rtd) George Asiamah said there was the need for multiagency cooperation to fight terrorism.

The exercise, which lasted for about five hours, demonstrated the tactical and intellectual preparedness of the security services in dealing with any potential terrorist attack.

The simulated scenario was to mimic a real live terrorist attack at a hotel resort at Nungua in the Greater Accra Region.

In February this year, the Ghana Armed Forces also assured the general public of its readiness to defend the country from any internal or external attacks by individuals or terrorist groups.
