Former Sports Minister of Ghana Rashid Pelpuo says Government must commit themselves in funding the various national teams in order for them to achieve success.
Pelpuo indicated that getting money for the various national teams is not easy but the Government should find ways to sponsor the national teams for them to win trophies.
“The Government must change its attitude towards funding our national teams so we can begin to record successes.” Pelpuo told the Press.
“The past one year, the only success has been the Black Stars B winning the WAFU, no matter what happens we need to support the other national teams.”
Raising funds for national teams has been a problem in Ghana recently with the winning bonus of some of the national teams being slashed.
