Govt on course to solve energy problem

Adansi-Asokwa (Ash), May 04, GNA - The government has put in place measures to help address the current energy crisis Mr K.T. Hammond, Deputy Minister of Energy, has said.

He said the importation of generating plants from the US, Malaysia and Brazil formed part of the measures.

Mr Hammond, the Member of Parliament for Adansi-Asokwa, was speaking to the press on the energy situation in the country and the load shedding exercise.

He said the energy situation was not an issue the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) should capitalize on to score cheap political marks.

"Lies about the energy situation will not serve any good purpose". Mr Hammond said the government would not be deterred by the lies and half-truths to throw dust into the eyes of the people.
