Great Bright Minds School, a newly constructed two-storey school located at Tetegu in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region has been opened with a call on the public to prioritise the education of their wards.
The ultramodern facility, which is an eight classroom block was designed to meet the educational needs of every child and is well equipped with state of the art facilities such as a library, computer laboratory and kitchen among others.
The school environment and classrooms which comprise of creche, nursery, kindergarten and primary is well designed to accommodate even infants as young as six months old.
Addressing the media after the inauguration of the ultramodern facility, proprietress and owner of the school, Madam Doreen Agyekum stated that her outfit deemed it right to choose Tetegu as the location of the school after observing that children from the area walked long distances to school every day and even risked their lives crossing the Mallam Kasoa highway to access education.
She indicated that it was only right for the private sector to complement government's efforts in providing education, especially to children, adding that she would not relent in her effort to ensure every single child in the area gained access to education.
"It is sad that there is no school in the locality but there is hope now because Great Bright Minds School is here to salvage the situation. We are offering quality education at an affordable cost so I entreat everyone to come to Great Bright Minds because this is where people with great minds are made," she added.
According to Madam Agyekum, the safety of every child in the school was also a topmost priority that was why Circuit Camera Televisions (CCTV) have been installed in all the classrooms with strict monitoring of all activities in and outside the classrooms.
With the calibre of experienced Montessori educators the school boosts of, quality education, she said, remained a pathway to success and development.
Touching on the aim of the school, she explained that inspiring minds and providing a safe, caring and home-like environment for young children in which parents could feel confident and comfortable when they are away were of relevance to the school authorities.
"Great Bright Minds School will produce students who will grow up and contribute tremendously to the development of Ghana," she added.
