A group calling itself Democratic Credentials Network – Ghana (DCN-GH) is calling for the arrest of persons involved in alleged rigging during the recently held referendum for the creation of new regions.
According to the group, the referendum was fraught with “chaotic atmosphere, intimidation, and massive vote stealing” by some EC officials, a clear demonstration of “constitutional breaches and how the referendum was poorly organized by the election management body to subvert the will of the NO voters”.
The group in a press statement, is urging the Electoral Commission and security agencies to punish perpetrators of what they describe as a “heinous electoral fraud”.
