HFC loss pulls down stock index

Accra, Oct. 3, GNA - A loss by HFC Bank in another quiet trading on Wednesday caused a slide in the main indices of the Accra bourse. The GSE All-Share Index slid by 0.81 points at 5,719.89 points from 5,720.70 on Tuesday.

Shares that changed hands went down at 182,600 from 520,900 on Tuesday while change for the year also ended down at 14.26 from 14.28 per cent per cent.

There were two price changes, one up and one down.

Fan Milk Limited gained 0.0014 GH cedis at 2.1120 GH cedis while HFC Bank lost 0.0052 cedis at 0.5346 GH cedis.

Market capitalisation also ended lower at 5,719.89 million GH cedis from 11,777.29 GH million cedis.
