Hairdresser in court for slashing five-year-old niece

Twifo Praso (C/R), June 28, GNA - Felicia Tetteh, a 38-year-old hairdresser who beat up her five-year-old niece and slashed her on both wrists with a blade for eating food she had picked from the ground, was on Tuesday remanded by a magistrate's court at Twifo Praso. Felicia pleaded guilty to causing harm and is to be re-arraigned on July 13. Prosecuting, Detective Sergeant Ampoma Asare told the court that the girl is the daughter of the Felicia's brother and lives with her. In March, she beat her and used a blade to inflict injuries on the girl's wrists for picking food on the ground and eating it.
