Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, the Middle-Belt Campaign Coordinator for Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on Ghanaians to have faith in the security agencies and come out in their numbers to cast their ballots in the December 7 general elections.

According to him, the party has absolute confidence in the security arrangements as far as the middle belt is concerned, and there is no cause for alarm.

"We want to assure all Ghanaians, especially voters in the six regions under the middle belt zone, that they have nothing to worry about because their security is fully assured; they must go to their polling stations and cast their ballots for the NPP and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia without fear or intimidation," Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye said while addressing the media in Kumasi to climax the party's campaign in the middle belt zone.

Dr. Ayew Afriye said all the necessary structures and preparations have been put in place to ensure a resounding victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.

On December 7, Ghanaians will head to the polls to elect a President and 276 Members of Parliament who will lead the country for the next four years.

The election is expected to be a closely fought contest between the two major political parties: the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The NPP aims to secure another term to advance its transformative agenda, while the NDC is determined to reclaim power, pledging to "reset" the nation and accusing the NPP of economic mismanagement.
