Headless body discovered at Palm Wine factory

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Sept. 3, GNA - The Breman Asikuma Police has intensified their investigations into the mysterious death of a 38-year old man, Kodwo Badu, also known as Ogayiwa, whose head was found at a Palm Wine industry.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at his office, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Samuel Doe, District Commander of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa station, said following a report of the murder, the Police went to the scene in a bush at Towoboase village, near Berman Asikuma on August 5 and conveyed the body to the Cape Coast Government Hospital.


ASP Doe said the owner of the Palm Wine industry, Kodina Mensah and three others, Kwame Abudu, Yaw Nkromah and Kwabena Baah, have been arrested for questioning.

The District Police Commander appealed to the general public to give volunteer information to the Police about criminal activities in the area, to assist the Police in their investigations, assuring them that their name= s would not be disclosed.


In another development, ASP Doe said on July 31, a decomposed body of a 25-year old woman, Abena Awusiwaa, was discovered near the Latter Day Saint Church building at Odoben. He urged the public to cooperate with the Police, saying that, without the informants, the Police cannot work satisfactorily.
